Vegeren - Vegetarian Rennet
Vegeren is a rennet alternative to make vegetarian cheese. Use in any recipe that requires rennet. This product has been developed for use with pasteurised full-fat cow’s milk.
To make cheese:
Use 10 drops of Vegeren to 1 pint (568ml) of warm, full-fat milk (32°C) and proceed with your recipe.
Warm 1 pint (568ml) of full-fat milk to 32°C. Add 1 tbsp sugar, a few drops of vanilla extract, 10 drops of Vegeren and stir well. Pour into a bowl, then leave to cool and set. Serve with fresh fruit or a sprinkling of nutmeg.
Pack size: 30ml.
Ingredients: mucor miehei (food approved milk clotting enzyme).
